This is a part-time position working anywhere from 20 to 30 hours a week maintaining the server and Desk Top computers. Also maintain the Access database and wrote programs using Visual Basic, Cold Fusion, Java, ASP and scripting languages.

Director of Food Service

 

Central University of Iowa is a small college that provides a well-rounded education to 1,700 board students annually.

Responsible for all college food service operations including the cafeteria, student union center, snack bar and catering with a total budget of five million dollars.

  • Expanded the catering program from an internal service to a major operation within the college and the community.  The income from this service provided the funds to build both a student union and a cafeteria.


  • Designedand built a new state of the art cafeteria with a Marche' servery.


  • Assisted in the design of the new student union building.


  • Spearheaded the committee for remodeling the kitchen, dining areas, and snack bar.


  • Responsible for budgeting, staffing, menu planning, training, and purchasing.


  • Helped students learn about other cultures by creating a special monthly feature where students from other cultures helped us design a menu consisting of the foods they would eat at home.
